Daily Events

                            Fine Motor Activities
The children work independently or in small groups at worktables stocked with such materials as puzzles, pegboards, stacking blocks, colored cubes and clay helping to develop them physically.

                       Outside Play and Equipment
Weather permitting, the children go outdoors to socialize, slide, climb and play with equipment such as balls, buckets and shovels aiding in their physical development.

                                Circle Time
The children gather in a circle, usually sitting on the floor.  We will share news, tell stories, enjoy a song, finger play and poems.  We will also do calendar and weather activities. Each child will have a turn putting up the number of the day or being our weather person.  We will also have a child hold a flag for the Pledge of Allegiance. Circle time develops a child socially, cognitively, culturally and spiritually.

The children develop large and small muscles as well as coordination balance and rhythm by singing, playing instruments, following exercises and participation in movement games.

Good nutrition, table manners and thanking God for what He provides us for our food are stressed at this time developing each child linguistically, culturally, spiritually and socially.

In a full day program, the state requires children to take a nap.  Those who do not nap still need a quiet time. Each family is to provide sheets, blankets for their child.  They must be taken home to be washed on Friday and returned on Monday.
